Shannon International Airport (SNN) handles almost four million passengers a year, with 11 scheduled airlines providing links to transatlantic, European, domestic and UK destinations. Compared with Dublin and many other international airports, Shannon's air facility is relatively small.

All the essential facilities that a traveller needs are available here, while the resident staff are friendly and well trained to cope with the requirements of passengers.

Shannon International Airport (SNN) offers an information desk that is located in the Arrivals Hall and is open from 06:00 to 23:00. Staff are well trained to handle requests and queries from airport visitors.

Shops, Duty-Free and Retail Outlets

Shannon International Airport (SNN) has a range of duty free shopping and essential travel goods on offer to cater for passengers at the airport. There is also a confectionery store and The Irish Food Shop.

Bars, Cafés and Restaurants

There are three refreshment outlets in the airport. The Estuary Café is located on the first floor of the terminal building and is a self-service restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and snacks. The Pub Upstairs overlooks the check-in area and has a range of wholesome food. while The Sheridan Bar is situated in the Departure Lounge and serves some of the best Irish coffee in the area.

Currency Exchange, Communications and Banking Facilities

The Bank of Ireland has a branch located in the Arrivals Concourse, while there are also ATM machines located in the Arrivals Concourse, Check-in area and the Departures Lounge. There are also bureau de change facilities operated by The Bank of Ireland and First Rate. They are located in the Arrivals Concourse and the Check-in area respectively.

Business and Conference Facilities

The airport offers two executive lounges, Golden Circle Lounge and the Rineanna Suite. These can be booked for groups as well as for corporate events.

Disabled Facilities

Shannon International Airport (SNN) operates a policy of disability awareness and all front line staff are trained accordingly. The airport has wheelchair ramps, disabled toilets and lifts suitable for wheelchair access. There are specifically designated parking areas for disabled drivers and long-term rates are available in the short-term car park. All spaces are located next to the terminal entrance. Disabled travellers should contact the airport prior to arrival if special assistance is required.

Postal Services

There is a post box located in the Arrivals Hall, next to the Londis shop. There is also a vending machine selling stamps inside the shop.

Tourist Information Service

There is a tourist information centre located in the Arrivals Hall. Staff are on hand to provide assistance with enquiries regarding holidays in Ireland. Maps and guide books are also sold here.

Other Facilities

Other facilities at the airport include meet-and-greet and VIP reception services. A tax refund service is available for non-EU travellers.
